With a major winter storm on the way, the National Weather Service in Sacramento has posted a video briefing highlighting the main weather impacts this week.

Hazardous mountain travel is likely tonight through early Friday morning, according to the weather service. Thunderstorms are also possible Thursday afternoon.

Looking ahead, another winter storm could impact mountain travel Saturday, though precipitation amounts are expected to be much lower than the current storm.
