Show goers can now purchase their tickets in advance of the show by using the online ticket purchasing site.

Those planning to visit the Farm Progress Show in Decatur, Illinois can now purchase their advance tickets online. The show runs August 30, 31 and September 1.

"This is the fourth year we have been able to offer advance tickets for purchase online," says Matt Jungmann, National events manager. "With the move to permanent sites, we have more reliable services like internet that makes handling the tickets at the gates possible."

Visitors can go to and click on the tickets button. Three options will then be given, enter a subscriber number, fill out farm profile information or purchase tickets without providing information. The first two options offer a discount with the ticket price being just $9. Without the discount tickets are $12.

Once visitors have purchased their tickets, an email with the ticket will be sent to them. Visitors then need to print out the ticket and bring it with them to the Farm Progress Show. The ticket contains a unique bar code that will be scanned at the gates.

Using online tickets at the show is fast and easy. Just look for the signs pointing to "Online Tickets Quick Pass Lane". Tickets will then be scanned and visitors can enjoy their day at the Farm Progress Show.

"Prior to launching this program, we do a lot of testing to make sure the system is easy to use and understand", notes Jungmann. "We foresee an increase in visitors purchasing their tickets online. It really does make their entry into the show faster and easier."

Tickets will be available for sale from now until Thursday, September 1.
