Marshall East Dairy To Hold Open House

Large Veblen, S.D., dairy under new management will offer tours of facility to celebrate June Dairy Month.

Marshall East Dairy, located on Hwy 25 East of Veblen, S.D., invites the public to attend its open house on Thursday, June 28 from 4 to 7 p.m.  Guests will be able to tour the facility and a free meal will be provided.

"We would like to welcome everyone to come help us celebrate June as Dairy Month to see what we do first hand and the economic contributions our dairy makes," says Marshall East Dairy employee Ward Youngblom.

This free event includes an opportunity to watch cows being milked, view manure and sand separation systems, tour inside a cross-ventilated barn, learn about various pieces of farm equipment, meet the South Dakota State Dairy Princess and enjoy a meal of cheeseburgers, chips and ice cream.

The dairy is located at 10530 448th Avenue, Veblen, South Dakota. Parking is available onsite. Please use the entrance on Highway 25.
