Max Armstrong and Orion Samuelson kick off the show with a chat with Greg Soulje as the talk about the summer heat. Orion interviews Tim Andriesen of the CME Group. Richard Brock of Brock Associates joins Max and Orion to talk about the long-term effects of the trade war, African Swine Fever and technology on the markets.

Part 2

Richard Brock of Brock Associates rejoins Max and Orion to talk about August crop report and what the September market report might look like. They also look at how southern crops are coming in. Chad Colby in the Colby Ag Tech segment reports on innovations in drainage tiling. Meagan Kaiser of the United Soybean Board gives Max an update on the “Tech Tool Shed” and its impact on how she, a soil scientist and soybean and corn farmer in Missouri, approaches her farming.

Part 3

In Max’s Tractor Shed, Max introduces a John Deere 43 Sheller owned by Kevin and Karen Bos of Geneseo, Illinois. This and other equipment will be at Half Century of Progress show. Orion Samuelson introduces Moriarty FFA in Moriarty, New Mexico where they pick pumpkins for a local farmer. Member Emma Davis touts how their chapter is like a family. In Samuelson Sez, Orion is wondering about the “Benefits (Lack Of) Fake Meat.”

Max visited the Indiana State Fair where he talked with Todd Uhl of the state fair board and how they promote agriculture.
