Ag pilots provided a much needed and timely service to farming operations across the country. They fly at low altitudes at high speeds to apply crop protection products that help feed and clothe the world. Pilot Lyle Malloy, Riverside Ag, was working fields around Clarksdale, Miss., last fall when I captured him at work in his Ag Tractor just above treetop level. Brad Robb

As I travel across the Mid-South interviewing farmers and covering ag meetings, I always keep an eye out for an opportunity to photograph anything interesting related to agriculture or life in rural America. Some things I see are humorous, sometimes unusual, but the subject matter never fails to make me reach for my camera. Many of the images in this gallery are taken for granted by locals who encounter them every day, but when someone sees them for the first time, a second look is often required.

Some aspects of agriculture never fail to catch my eye as I make my way to a farm or work my way back home after a long trip across farm country. Either way, I cannot resist pulling over and capturing the moment.
