Cotton consultant: Use water sparingly early in season: Part III

In situations where farmers don’t have a lot of water to begin with, they shouldn’t be applying much of it early in the crop season. That’s because much of the water will be lost to evaporation, says Bob Glodt, crop consultant who specializes in irrigation management. Glodt also says growers should not be applying more water than the plants can use, as he continues his presentation at the Beltwide Cotton Conferences.
