I am pleased to announce a new ag meetup me and my partners at Next Gen Ag Advocates will be hosting called: Farm Talk Friday!

This is open to all farmers, landowners and ag professionals interested in the future of family farms, farmland, and agriculture in general.

We will meet once a month and participants will have the opportunity to learn and network with industry experts on a certain topic or topics each meeting, including question and answer sessions. Future topics to include, but not limited to:

  • Family farm & farmland transition options

  • Strategies for entering, expanding, and exiting the farm business

  • How to better connect farm producers with retiring farmers, inheriting landowners & land investors

  • Timely & pertinent issues in Agriculture affecting family farms

  • Planning for what’s to come in the business of farming

This is a virtual meetup held on the first Friday of every month at 9 a.m. CST. The group and future email notifications will be hosted through the Meetup platform. You can join the group through the meetup platform here.

You may also email me at [email protected] for the Zoom link, or if you have any specific topics you’d like us to address in future meetings. Our first meetup is Friday, July 7.

Should farmers invest off the farm? Off-farm income and diversification have been the top buzz words in the other meetup I host: Passive Investing for the Ag Community. This is hosted through our Farm Raised investor community and also held virtually the first Friday of every month at 10 a.m. central. If interested, you may join the group, here.
