Tractors from Korea

LS TRACTOR is a new name but not a newcomer to the U.S. The Korean manufacturer has supplied tractors on an OEM basis since 1998 and started marketing its own models under the LS Tractor name in 2009. The company has dealers in the Midwest.

LS tractors range from small compact models to the newest P-series line, a heavy-duty utility series. The P-series includes the P7010S with 72 hp, the P7020S with 80 hp and the P7030S with 88 hp. They feature an efficient, low-fuel-consumption engine, 20 × 20 synchro-shuttle transmission with creeper, and deluxe cab with heating and air conditioning.

Prices for the P-series tractors range from $42,000 to $48,000. Contact LS Tractor USA, Dept. FIN, 6900 Corporation Pkwy., Battleboro, NC 27809, 252/984-0700, visit www.lstractorusa.com or www.freeproductinfo.net/fin, or circle 118.

Hybrid hay rake

THE NEW hybrid Hay Runner hay rake from Ogden Metalworks features a carted design that is combined with a high-capacity rake design. As a result, the Hay Runner includes the benefits of both designs at a price lower than that of current high-capacity rakes. The rake wheels are mounted on the front of the frame for greater clearance, and the independent wheel arms feature easy-to-adjust torsion springs for ground-pressure control.

Eight-, 10- and 12-wheel models are available. Price for an 8-wheel model (shown) is $5,330. Contact Ogden Metalworks, Dept. FIN, Box 128, Ogden, IL 60958, 217/582-2552, visit www.ogdenmetalworks.com or www.freeproductinfo.net/fin, or circle 119.

Utility tractors

MANUFACTURED BY Daedong Industrial of South Korea, Kioti utility and value tractors are now more widely available in the U.S. Kioti offers several models in its high-performance utility line, including the new DX9010 (90-hp)and DX7510 (75-hp) models with shuttle shift. Both include standard features of quality tractors — from a deluxe cab and single-lever joystick for loader use to a PTO that will automatically engage when the 3-pt. hitch is lowered and automatically disengage when it is raised.

Transport vehicle

A PROTOTYPE utility vehicle from Kioti was shown at the Sunbelt show. Called a transport vehicle, the Mechron 2200 features a 22-hp Daedong diesel engine, 4-wd, and a low, high, neutral, and reverse gear range. Its bench seat holds three passengers, and the cargo bed will handle 1,102 lbs. It will tow 1,300 lbs.

Value-priced UV

A UTILITY vehicle called the Armadillo from Team3 Motorsports is a value-priced newcomer in the UV market. A two-passenger model called the XT costs $5,599 and a four-passenger model called the XL4 costs $6,599. Both models are equipped with a 500cc engine and continuously variable, automatic clutch transmission. They feature 4 × 4 and 4 × 2 shift on the fly and four-wheel independent suspension. Maximum speed is 45 mph and total maximum load is 2,304 lbs.

Herbicide application

THE GRASSWORKS Weed Wiper now comes in a 40-ft. model for the application of herbicides to weeds in a pasture or field. The Weed Wiper has a steel roller that's wet with chemicals from a 12v pump. Because the roller rotates in the opposite direction of the tractor, any plant touched by the roller is well drenched with the herbicide. The larger the weed, the more chemical is applied.

The Weed Wiper height is adjustable. Typical application speeds are 10 to 15 mph. The Weed Wiper comes in 3-pt. hitch, tractor-mounted, or pull-behind models and in different widths.

This product is built in the U.S. Prices start at $3,000. Contact GrassWorks Weed Wiper, Dept. FIN, 8703 East Farm Rd. 80, Strafford, MO 65757, 888/809-4737, visit www.weedproblems.com or www.freeproductinfo.net/fin, or circle 123.
