Jerrod Niemann, Craig Campbell Headline Farm Progress Show Concert

Tickets go on sale for country music star Jerrod Niemann with special guest Craig Campbell for the 2014 Farm Progress Show concert.

Country music star, Jerrod Niemann, is slated to take center stage for a live country music concert at the newly renovated ISU Harvester Plaza on Wednesday, Aug. 27, in Ames. This concert is held in conjunction with the 2014 Farm Progress Show to be held in Boone, Iowa on Aug. 26, 27 and 28 and is sponsored by Syngenta featuring Golden Harvest and NK Seeds.

"The Farm Progress Show and Iowa State Center, along with presenting sponsor Syngenta, are excited to host a concert again this year," said Don Tourte, vice president of Penton Farm Progress.

"This is an event that everyone enjoys — Farm Progress Show exhibitors and visitors. We've presented many concerts though the years and this is our first in conjunction with the Iowa State Center."

Concert gates open at 5 p.m., special guest Craig Campbell is scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m., followed by a 30-minute intermission and Jerrod Niemann is scheduled to start at 8 p.m. The general admission, lawn seating concert will be held in the newly renovated Harvester Plaza at the Iowa State Center. The ISU campus is located east of the FPS site in Ames.

"We are excited to showcase Syngenta and our Golden Harvest and NK seed brands alongside standout performers like Jerrod and Craig during the 2014 Farm Progress Show," said Eric Boersma, head of corn seed product management, Syngenta.

"Our customers and country music fans will be in for a real treat. Jerrod and Craig are passionate about their music, just as we are passionate about providing growers with top-performing hybrids and varieties that will help them grow more corn and soybeans."

Ticket price is $28 and go on sale Friday, June 13 at 10 a.m.  Tickets are available at the Iowa State Center Ticket Office, Monday - Friday, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Tickets are also available at all Ticketmaster Centers (convenience surcharges apply), by phone (800)745-3000 or online at www.ticketmaster.com. Concert admission is separate from show admission. The public is welcome. There are no ticket refunds or exchanges.

The Nation's Largest Outdoor Farm Show
The Farm Progress Show is the nation's largest outdoor farm show. Highlights include side-by-side field demonstrations of combines, tillage tools, and precision agriculture products. The Farm Progress Show includes an 86-acre exhibit field filled with more than 600 exhibitors.

 Exhibitor displays from the nation's leading large and shortline equipment manufacturers, seed and crop protection companies, educational institutions, livestock equipment manufacturers and many additional agriculture input suppliers are showcased at the show each year. Farmers and ranchers from around the nation and world attend the event.
