The new Lexion 670 combine from Claas meets Tier 4A clean air standards with a Caterpillar C 9.3 L engine rated at 360 horsepower. The new powerplant configuration also gives the 670 increased fuel economy and features Clean Sweep, a planar dust extraction system which automatically helps keep the radiator clear of debris and insulating dust layers.

The 670 also comes with a 300 bushel grain tank and an optional 4XL unloading auger which will move 3.3 bushels per second through a 29.2-foot unloader tube.

Like its predecessors, the new 670 can be equipped with the Cruise Pilot system which monitors speed, feederhouse crop volume, engine load and grain losses. With this monitoring the system can anticipate peak loads and maintain proper engine power levels for optimum harvest efficiency.

Also, the 2013 model features the APS threshing system which can pre-separate nearly 30% of all grain before it runs into the machine's main concave. Overall the APS system allows a 20% increase in harvest efficiency without affecting fuel consumption.
