3. Farmers are struggling to make ends meet and with another record harvest predicted for this fall, there’s little hope commodity prices will rise. Low prices have pushed some farmers into bankruptcy. - MPR

4. Deere & Co. raised its full-year profit forecast after cutting production and costs due to a weaker ag economy. Farmers are increasingly turning to used equipment and Midwest farm equipment auctions are drawing bidders from around the globe. – Farm Futures

5. Missouri’s largest peach farmer believes he is one of many farmers impacted by dicamba drift from unauthorized use of the herbicide. Out of his 900 acres, 200 to 250 acres will need to be removed because of the damage they suffered. – St. Louis Post-Dispatch

6. AgriBank announced its net income grew 15.2% in the second quarter compared to the same period last year. Credit quality of the retail loan portfolio has declined to 95.5% acceptable as of June 30, 2016, compared to 97.3% at the end of last year. – Farm Futures

7. A July report from the National Children’s Center for Rural and Agricultural Health and Safety shows children are still at risk on farms. Every three days, a child dies in an agriculture-related incident. – USA Today
