The SXBlue III-L GNSS palm-sized receiver from Geneq Inc. turns any Bluetooth-compliant smartphone, handheld, tablet, laptop or notebook computer into a fully capable GPS/GLONASS device. Out of the box, it can attain 10 cm accuracy using OmniStar’s G2 or HP service or 1 cm accuracy when connected via cellular or UHF radio to an RTK network.

The SXBlue III-L GNSS is compact and rugged for field use, requiring no backpack or external batteries. Measuring 14 cm (5.57 in.) x 8 cm (3.15 in.) x 5.6 cm (2.22 in.) and weighing slightly over a pound, including battery, it is the smallest and lightest GNSS L1/L2 OmniStar receiver available today, the company claims.

The receiver includes a hermetically sealed antenna that receives GPS, GLONASS, SBAS and OmniStar signals. It was designed to meet the IP-67 rating and can survive accidental immersion in water.

The SXBlue III-L GNSS is targeted at high-precision users in industries such as agriculture, surveying, GIS, utilities, construction and engineering, as well as government users.

The suggested retail price is $7,550, including GLONASS. An OmniStar subscription is extra. For information, write Geneq Inc., Dept. FIN, 10700 Secant St., Montréal, H1J 1S5 Canada, call 800-463-4363 or visit www.sxbluegps.com.
