Michigan State University Extension will host a Bean and Barley Field Tour on Tuesday, Aug. 12 convening at the Presque Isle County MSU Extension office located at 106 E. Huron Ave.; Rogers City.
The program will begin at 10 a.m. and conclude at 4 p.m. This event will be an opportunity for producers and agribusiness professionals to view on-farm soybean, dry bean and malting barley research trials investigating crop varieties appropriate for Northeast Michigan and non-GMO soybeans and gypsum use in soybean production. Participants should plan to drive their own vehicle between farms.
There is no charge for attending this program, but pre-registration is encouraged. A pizza buffet lunch, sponsored by Zeeland Farm Services, ADM Edible Bean, and Freeland Bean and Grain, will be provided at Kelley's Venture Inn in Rogers City.
