The California almond industry is in Sacramento to discuss and hear about issues affecting one of the state's leading crops. More than 2,400 people, including professional crop advisors, growers, handlers and allied industry officials were signed up to attend the annual event at the Sacramento Convention Center.
Among opening night guest speakers were California Food and Agriculture Secretary Karen Ross, who told the crowd that water issues remain a key topic of discussion among policy makers in Sacramento.
