Farm Progress is excited to announce that Raney Rapp has taken the reins as the new senior writer for Delta Farm Press, a significant pillar of the Farm Progress editorial portfolio focusing on Mid-South growers and producers. With her extensive experience and profound understanding of the industry, she's primed to contribute extensively to the publication.

Rapp is no stranger to the agricultural publishing arena. She has spent the first eight years of her career as the editor of Farm Talk newspaper. She holds a dual degree in agricultural communications and animal science from Oklahoma State University. Originally from a cow-calf operation in northeast Texas, she now resides in southeast Kansas with her husband, Dillon, a farm economist, and their two-year-old son, Jack. Rapp continues to keep her farming roots alive by raising a small herd of grazing pigs.

"We are thrilled to have Raney on board," said Executive Editor Brad Haire. "Her deep understanding of farmers, their needs and the challenges they face will enhance our ability to provide relevant and timely information."

Truly a farmer at heart, Rapp said, "My journey blends my professional life with my personal one. I'm excited to bring original and relatable content to our readers, speak for the farmers and connect with them through shared experiences."

As Rapp joins the team at Delta Farm Press, both staff and readers alike can anticipate a fresh perspective that will enhance the publication's relevance and value.
