Max Armstrong reports on the annual report on greenhouse gases from the Environmental Protection Agency. The draft report has been released. The report shows agriculture's impact – 10% - and notes how increased production plays a role in reducing those gases. American Farm Bureau points to the role of increased research to capture more carbon in the soil. Max notes that in 2019, emissions from all man-made sources were down 1.7% from 2018. When taking into consideration carbon trapped in the soil, greenhouse gases were reduced 12%.
Farm Progress America is a daily look at key issues in agriculture. It is produced and presented by Max Armstrong, veteran farm broadcaster and host of This Week in Agribusiness.
