December 31, 2021
What better way to end the year but with a look back on this interesting ag marketing year. And there's no better way to look ahead then to connect with a student who is sharing is passion for agriculture.
This week's episode of Around Farm Progress connects with Jacqueline Holland, senior market analyst, Farm Futures. She offers a look back on what she thought at the beginning couldn't be a year that set as many precedents as 2020. Well, listen in to hear how it really turned out.
Holland writes daily for the Farm Futures website, but also offers insight and commentary in our E-corn-nomics blog, where she talks about more than corn. Be sure to check it out because she's looking at the markets in new ways for farmers to find new opportunities.
Then we turn to a talk with Cesar Delgado, an Ottawa, Ill., student who has discovered his passion for agriculture. Why it's unique is because Delgado is differently abled in ways that make taking on the challenge of a career in agriculture, well, a challenge. We spoke with Delgado as he uses his speech software and hand gestures, and head and eye movements to create sentences. Even through that mechanical voice you can hear his passion for agriculture.
Give it a listen.
