Too wet or too big?

Harvest slows but large stocks remain. (Video report)

Rains sweeping across the Midwest will slow harvest this week as Michael makes landfall today as a major hurricane before sweeping through the Southeast. Corn ratings eased last week but soybean conditions were steady, and USDA likely will report still burdensome supplies when it updates monthly forecasts Thursday. Grain futures were choppy in light but mixed trade overnight, a condition mirrored on financial markets following a turbulent start to the week.
