Texas Comptroller’s office schedules webinars on new ag and timber exemption requirements

Webinars will provide overview of the new Ag and Timber Exemption registration requirements.The webinars are free but participants must register in advance.

Beginning Jan. 1, 2012, a new law requires that a person must have a state Ag/Timber tax exemption number or pay the sales tax on purchases of certain types of items used in the production of agriculture and timber products.

To assist producers and retailers, the Comptroller’s office is offering webinars that will provide an overview of the new Ag and Timber Exemption registration requirements. The webinars are free but participants must register in advance.  Each session is limited to 1,000 participants.

  • Wednesday, Dec. 7 Texas Sales Tax Exemption for Timber Producers: The New Registration  Requirement 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. CDT Register Now

  • Thursday, Dec. 8 Retailer's Guide to the Texas Sales Tax Exemptions for Agriculture and Timber Production: The New Registration Requirement 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. CDT Register Now

  • Wednesday, Dec. 14 The Texas Agricultural Sales Tax Exemption: The New Registration Requirement 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. CDT Register Now

  • Thursday, Dec. 15 Retailer's Guide to the Texas Sales Tax Exemptions for Agriculture and Timber Production: The New Registration Requirement 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. CDT Register Now
