New program represents ‘convergence’ of biotech and information technology for Monsanto

Agricultural scientists have been at the forefront of the fight to develop healthier, stronger plants that help meet the world’s needs for food, feed, fuel and fiber. Now researchers have begun putting together systems that could help farmers make better use of those biotechnology advances. Robb Fraley, the man who led the team that produced the first genetically engineered crops, discusses Monsanto’s new Fieldscripts system in the video.
