Oct. 16-18, 2011 marks the 37th annual California Association of Pest Control Advisers’ (CAPCA) Conference and Agri-Expo. The conference will take place at the Peppermill Resort Spa Casino in Reno, Nev. All production agriculture licensees are welcome to participate. All education sessions will have California DPR accredited CE hours.

This year’s theme is “Protecting California’s Agriculture”. Conference events include educational opportunities, Welcome Reception, DuPont’s Monday Night Football Reception and two breakfasts. New to our program will be a Golf Tournament and Clay Shoot to be held on Saturday Oct. 15, at 1 p.m.

More than 1,000 guests are expected to attend. The Agri-Expo will have over 100 exhibitors available to provide hands on instruction to attendees.  In addition to the Monday and Tuesday General Sessions, there will be two specialty breakout sessions. CAPCA’s annual conference is known for its extensive breakout sessions that are designed to meet the needs of the pest control adviser in specific areas. CAPCA’s conference will provide many opportunities for Agricultural Professionals to make connections.

In addition to CDPR Pest Control Adviser and Applicator continuing education credits, CAPCA also receives accreditation from the following: Certified Crop Advisor (CCA), Golf Course Superintendents Association of America, International Society of Arborists and Arizona DPR. Registration information is available at www.capca.com/conference.

CAPCA has over 2,700 members and 16 chapters statewide, consisting of licensed Pest Control Advisers and affiliated Ag professionals. These PCAs act as advisors to farmers, growers, nurseries, municipalities and public agencies where agricultural chemicals are used. More information regarding PCAs and CAPCA can be found at www.capca.com.
