Land listed for sale at online auction is bringing a good price with a lot of interest. Land that is only listed at private treaty is slower to sell than it has been in the past year.

Marketing time to sell a farm on an online auction is 60 days, and marketing time on a private treaty sale is much longer, with offers slow to come in.

Madison and Boone counties: 1,594.38 acres sold at online auction for $9,901,586 in 10 tracts: Tract 1, 160 acres of dryland cropland in Madison County sold for $6,300 per acre. Tract 2, 160 acres of combination irrigation and dryland cropland sold for $5,200 per acre. Tract 3, 79.08 dryland acres in Madison County sold for $8,450 per acre. Tract 4, 160 dryland acres in Madison County sold for $5,600 per acre. Tract 5, 160 acres — including grass pasture, CRP and an older building site — sold for $3,460 per acre.

Tract 6, 155.3 dryland acres in Boone County sold for $7,200 per acre. Tract 7, 160 acres of pivot-irrigated cropland in Boone County sold for $7,300 per acre. Tract 8, 160 dryland acres in Boone County sold for $5,760 per acre. Tract 9, 160 pivot-irrigated acres in Boone County sold for $6,900 per acre. Nance County: 480 acres sold at online auction for $1,045,000. This is a combination farm offering 106.44 acres of dryland cropland. The remaining acres are well-managed pasture with good grazing capacity. — Compliments of BigIron Realty

Seward County: 185.68 acres sold by sealed bid for $1,671,520. This is a high-quality, grain-producing farm with a high percentage of irrigated acres. One Zimmatic center pivot sold with the farm. — Compliments of Farmers National Co.

Cass County: 34.71 acres sold by sealed bid for $320,100. This property is transitional or commercial farmland, offered in two parcels, located on State Highway 75.
