Land sales are robust, and farms selling at unreserved online auctions are selling for 10% more than they would have brought a year ago. BigIron Realty believes the combination of large exposure, high yields and optimism that trade issues with China could be resolved are driving prices higher.

Northeastern Nebraska

Pierce County: Over 123 acres sold for $604,702. This property is a high-quality dryland farm near the Village of McLean. — Compliments of UFarm Real Estate

Antelope County: Close to 187 acres sold for just over $1.4 million. This farm is pivot-irrigated cropland with a 1979 Valley seven-tower pivot and has 138.52 certified irrigated acres, according to the Upper Elkhorn Natural Resources District. The land is 69% Nora silt loam and 2% to 6% Alcester silty clay loam. The remaining acres are mostly 6% to 17% Crofton-Nora complex.  — Compliments of UFarm Real Estate

Eastern Nebraska

Lancaster County: A total of 150.9 acres sold for $603,300. This is a rolling, partly terraced farm with two ponds. The land was previously in the Conservation Reserve Program, which expired Sept. 30. This could be farmed in 2019, pastured or hayed. Lancaster County: Just over 247 acres sold for $1.2 million at auction. This is nearly all tillable, with some conservation practices in place. It is off of paved Agnew Road and 5 miles west of four-lane Highway 77. — Compliments of Farmers National Co.

Douglas County: A total of 24.43 acres sold for $855,050. This property is surrounded by residential housing with paved streets already in place. The property has a gentle roll with potential for walk-out basement configurations.
