Commodity prices stoke interest in irrigation systems

The drought of 2012 has created new interest in irrigation. But Valley’s Wade Sikkim says the drought does not account for all of the  increase in sales of irrigation equipment in the U.S. The new interest is largely driven by higher commodity prices and the desire of growers to bring  more consistency to their yields. Sikkim discussed the outlook for irrigation at this year’s Sunbelt Expo in Moultrie, Ga.
