The Boone edition of the Farm Progress Show has some unique history, which includes being the first show where the company engaged Map Your Show.

This is an advanced tool designed to maximize your visit by providing in-depth information about exhibitors, tools for planning your visit and handy maps.

The Map Your Show experience can start on your desktop computer at FarmProgressShow.com, where you can register and plan your visit. List the exhibitors you want to see, and the site helps you plan your day.

That’s a handy tool, but it needs to be mobile, and there’s an app for that. After registering on the main site and setting up your plan for the show, download the smartphone app, and log in there. Your plan is then available on your smartphone.

New app required
But to make that work, you need to download the Farm Progress Show 2018 app — the newest app for the event. Visit the App Store or Google Play. Search “Farm Progress Show 2018.” Note the year; the older app will not update.

You need the 2018 app to keep up. Simply delete the 2017 app and download the latest version to get the right info on your phone, and your desktop and phone properly linked.

Getting started
Building your show visit plan is simple once you’ve logged into Map Your Show. Simply mouse over an exhibitor you want to visit, click on “My Show Planner,” and that company is added to your master list. With that tool, you don’t have to worry about missing an exhibitor.

If you don’t want to register to use Map Your Show, downloading the smartphone app is still a solid idea. You can still have five entries in the planner, which can be printed, but won’t be saved on the site. Note that registration is free and only requires an email address and creating your own password; and you get full access to the system.

You can easily search not only by company, but by product category. Looking for tillage tools? You can search the category on the master list and find every company exhibiting tillage equipment at the show. It’s a timesaver.
