It turns out 2022 marks the 15th anniversary for Apple’s iPhone, and while other companies were in the smartphone business at the time, this latest innovation pushed consumers to put these super-computers in their pockets. Today, more farmers are running their farms from a smartphone, getting information and making decisions in new ways.
Putting your smartphone to work to help maximize your visit to the Farm Progress Show can be a valuable time-saver.
The Farm Progress Show has long had an app to help you facilitate your visit to the show. The 2022 Farm Progress Show app is ready for you to download. If you had the earlier version installed and had automatic settings enabled on your device, you may have the 2022 version already.
A key to the app is the Map Your Show platform, which includes the My Show Planner. You can register for My Show Planner on your phone — it’s free — to help you identify and store the names of key exhibitors you don’t want to miss. That My Show Planner is live on the FarmProgressShow.com website, too. And if you use the same login credentials, you can plan your show in one place and have access to your account on desktop or app.
Power of planning
The My Show Planner tool allows you to search exhibitors by category as well as brand. You might know the major brand for a specific product, but are there others? They’re easy to find with the tool. Once you’ve logged those specific exhibitors in your planner account, the app is ready to travel with you to Boone.
And if you’re concerned about using the app at the show if cellular bandwidth is limited, no worries. The phone stores key information locally. That means if you’re in heavy cell traffic, the app will continue to work.
Be sure to turn on notifications for the app. During each show day, messages will come from the app pointing out special opportunities for you around the show. The show team has worked to make the app a potent tool for maximizing your time in Boone.
It’s been four years since the show has been in Boone, and having the 2022 version of the app on your phone will help you maximize your time. Just visit your favorite app store — Google or Apple — and search for “2022 Farm Progress Show.”
