This is the first time the Farm Progress Show has been in Boone since 2018 and exhibit spaces are filling fast. The big show has always been known for new tools and technologies that help farmers produce food, fiber, and fuel more efficiently, but what’s ahead for 2022?
Matt Jungmann, events director, talks with Willie Vogt, editorial director, about the 2022 show highlighting a wide range of topics. They cover the new road into the show site, a special focus on agtech startups, the return of the floating tractor and more.
This year’s show returns to Boone after missing 2020 when the show was canceled due to the pandemic. While it’s been four years since the event was last held on the Central Iowa Expo grounds, the event is well on its way to being ready to go.
Jungmann talks about the return after a big break and shares key news about the show including a first-ever concert on the Boone site. The 2022 demo field crop is looking good, and farmers will find a solid lineup of new equipment in action. In addition, the autonomy exhibit has expanded to include more companies. In addition, new-tech drone equipment will be on hand as well.
