Two weather studies from universities are in the news. Northern Illinois University says tornado alley may be shifting to the east.

There’s a map out by Iowa State University saying this has been wettest growing season in 126 years, going back to 1893, across northern Iowa as well as southeast and southwest Minnesota, southeast South Dakota and southern Wisconsin.

The Minnesota Board of Animal Health has confirmed the first case of EHD in the state. Six of seven animals in small herd in southeast Minnesota died earlier this year. The disease is widespread across North America.

If you have collision with deer move your vehicle to a safe place, according to insurers. Call the police and then take photographs if safe to do so. Don’t assume your vehicle is safe to drive. Make sure your insurance protects you.
