Case IH has launched the Flex Hoe 900 air drill to seed in a variety of ground conditions. The 900 expands the number of models in the Flex Hoe Series. The new machine features a parallel link opener for ground contour following. The unit is available in 50-, 60- and 70-foot toolbars, with 10- or 12-inch spacing. The air drill features a new intuitive user interface, so operators can make quick, on-the-go adjustments with ease. The Flex Hoe 900 gets a shorter opener length, creating a 1-to-1 ratio between knife and press wheel. Can-Am has a Texas-focused side-by-side model, the Defender Max Lone Star Edition. This machine gets several upgrades and additions for 2020. In addition to the new Stone Gray color finish, the machine has a new front fascia, and hood with removable grill. A more ridged chassis and thicker fire wall helps reduce heat and noise in the cabin. Power comes from an upgraded 82-hp Rotax HD10 engine, with a new low-sound exhaust system and a recalibrated continuously variable transmission. Celebrating its 65th year in business, Polaris is pulling out all the stops with the Ranger 1000 and Ranger Crew 1000. The new Rangers work with the ProStar 1000 single-overhead cam engine, delivering 61 hp and 55 pound-feet of low-end torque. The machine features 2,500 pounds of towing capacity. In addition, the two machines — both standard and Crew — get improved ergonomics, including 25% thicker seats. John Deere is adding three new products to the Frontier line, starting with the SA20F Skid Steer Carrier Adapter. The carrier adapter is compatible with John Deere 100, 200 and 300E Compact Utility Tractor Loaders and allows you to use industry-standard skid-steer attachments on a compact utility tractor. The new John Deere RT30 Gear-Driven Rotary Tillers turn over and mix soil to prep seedbeds for planting and are compatible with John Deere 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 Family tractors. The RT30 Series has nine rotary flanges with six tempered boron steel C-blades. The larger rear bonnet helps ensure a quality finish and levels the soil. A tempered gear-drive transmission on the RT30 tillers is available in forward and reverse rotation, and it requires less maintenance than roller chain drives. John Deere has added a high-lift option for the 344L Compact Loader. This option offers increased height and further reach for dumping or stacking, ag material handling, or other tasks. The option has a maximum hinge pin height of 13 feet, 2 inches, which is 12-inches more reach compared to the standard 344L. The 344L comes with Articulation Plus steering, which allows faster turns and better productivity. Shur-Co is expanding use of its SmarTechnology product family with the new AutoGate electric gate opener system. The AutoGate opens and closes farm swing gates with the push of a button on the Smart3 remote. The system can be operated from the comfort of truck or tractor cab — and it can fully open and close a gate up to 16 feet wide. The gate opens or shuts completely in 10 to 15 seconds. The new Michelin FloatXBib is a dedicated tire solution for self-propelled spreaders for use with a high-load capacity. The tires are available in IF 1000/55R32 CFO size, and this is the first increased-flexion (IF) flotation tire. An IF tire has the same rolling circumference as the industry standard radial tire, but it can handle the same load at up to 20% less air pressure — or 20% more load at the same pressure. NEW DEAL FOR PLANT BREEDING: SlantRange and AgReliant Genetics have entered into a partnership to provide remote sensing and analytics systems for agriculture. AgReliant, the nation’s third-largest seed company, will integrate the SlantRange Aerial Phenotyping solution into its seed breeding technology program. The SlantRange system offers tech to accurately measure and track a variety of agronomic traits for every plot of a field trial, using multispectral sensors on autonomous drones.
