Ag Leader has announced that InCommand users will be able to access in-cab, internet-based functionality through a single data connect source with a firmware update in February 2018. The rising need for farmers to have a reliable internet connection in the cab is driving this upgrade. With the system, you will have access to precise machine control using RTK correction and be able to connect the farm with real-time and historical maps and data. The system will link to the company's AgFiniti cloud-based data management platform through the same connection, using a single cellular data plan. A ruggedized cellular modem will be part of the upgrade. Learn more at agleader.com.

RETHINKING THE TIRE
Trelleborg purchased Mitas Tire in 2016, and along with that purchase picked up the PneuTrac technology. This "inverted" tire design offers what the company says are the advantages of both radials and tracks. These tires will be marketed for tractors used in vineyards and orchards, since they often have steep terrain. The tire features Progressive Traction technology to enhance traction, but also provide better self-cleaning capacity. The wide lug also provides increased lateral stability. The tires are on display this week at Agritechnica, the biennial international farm show. Learn more at trelleborg.com.
Trelleborg is introducing a new service at Agritechnica, the biennial international farm show. Called YourTire, it's an online service that allows customers to personalize their Trelleborg radial tractor tires. With the online configurator tool you can add a name or logo to new tires. Your tractors can have the farm name right on the tires. The idea may grow for custom contracting firms or larger farms that want to set themselves apart. Blunk (seen in the photo as an example) is a German agricultural contracting firm. Learn more at trelleborg.com.
