Comments being accepted on deregulation of GMO cotton

The public may comment on a petition from Bayer CropScience seeking deregulation of cotton that is genetically engineered for glyphosate and isoxaflutole resistance.

Glyphosate is a broad spectrum herbicide commonly used to control any weed and isoxaflutole controls broadleaf weeds and grasses.

The petition will be available for public review and comment for 60 days starting Oct. 27, 2017.

Comments may be submitted from Oct. 27 through Dec. 26, 2017, at http://www.regulations.gov/ by entering docket number APHIS-2017-0073 in the search box. Read the Federal Register by clicking here
