Cotton Incorporated has announced their 2009 Annual Report is available online. This marks the first time the Annual Report has been designed exclusively for viewing on the Web.

This paperless transition allows the report to house more information and offers the luxury of incorporating multimedia elements. The electronic report also saves Cotton Incorporated almost 50 percent on production and distribution costs.

The Annual Report, themed Models of Efficiency, explains how Cotton Incorporated is making the cotton industry progressively more efficient through their research and promotion efforts. President and CEO of Cotton Incorporated, J. Berrye Worsham, said this about the transition to an electronic annual report, “At the heart of efficiency is eliminating waste, be it materials, man-hours or dollars. It is only fitting that an annual report named Models of Efficiency should, itself, represent the theme. The elimination of paper, ink, the printing process and postal delivery service typically involved in the production of an annual report represents significant savings to Cotton Incorporated’s bottom-line and to the environment.”

Both cotton growers and cotton importers can expect to receive a postcard in the mail, detailing where and how to view the report. The report can also be downloaded as a pdf file or you can request a disk containing the full Annual Report.
