Optimum Soy Field Trial Deadline Extended

Soybean Association/BASF offer to growers extended to March 14.

Soybean growers have a few extra days to register for the 2008 Secure Optimum Yield Field Trials program offered by the American Soybean Association and BASF. The deadline has been extended to March 14.

The rewards program is for growers who set up field trials that start with a residual herbicide applied early, then one post application of glyphosate, followed by Headline fungicide at R2 to R3 growth stage. The rules are:

  • Be or become a member of the American Soybean Association. It's free the first year.

  • Commit 20 acres to the trial.

  • Treat control acres only with a single postemergence application of glyphosate.

  • Provide harvest records before Nov. 15, 2008.
