The basic chemical manufacturers continue to put a great deal of money and time into new products for grains and oilseeds. BASF is currently seeking an EPA registration for Xemium, a new type of fungicide that will probably be applied with its Headline compound. Dr. Ulf Groeger discussed the new material following a presentation by BASF officials on “The Science Behind Xemium” at this year’s Commodity Classic.
