Minnesota Soybean Research and Promotion Council (MSR&PC) invested checkoff dollars into the development a handbook for Minnesota farmers to help navigate the Watershed Restoration and Protection Strategies (WRAPS) the state has adopted for its 81 major watersheds.

Since there are an extraordinary amount of watersheds in the state, adopting the water quality standards can be a daunting process.

The WRAPS handbook provided by the checkoff will help guide farmers through the process.

Due to the federal Clean Water Act, all states must run their operation to the standards set in place for water quality to protect lakes, streams, rivers and wetlands from pollution. The WRAPS handbook not only helps farmers answer their own questions, it serves as a reference guide for water quality standards.

The WRAPS handbook is available to all Minnesota farmers, and can be found on the Minnesota Soybean Website.
