Bobcat, a name synonymous with compact equipment, this week announced the release of its new 2015 four-wheel drive Bobcat 3400 and 3400XL utility vehicles. The new series keeps the same vintage number as last year but was redesigned from the ground up.

“This is a major model change for us,” says Chris Austinson, product specialist for Bobcat utility vehicles. “Some of the big improvements made this year include a new engine package for both vehicles, improved suspension, higher load capacities, new styling, features and instrumentation and a lot of new accessories as well.”

Last August, Bobcat gave the media an advanced look at these vehicles at the company’s new Acceleration Center in Bismarck, ND, where these vehicles were designed. We even got to take the new models out for a spin in the back 40. The conditions were rough that day--wind, rain, and a whole lot of mud, perfect for finding out what these vehicles can do on a typical farm.
