If you’ve ever piloted a corn harvester through narrow-row corn, you know what it’s like to be tired and a little dazed after a long day. Krone North America engineers developed an optional cab design to give you a lift — a real one.

Krone North America offers a first-of-its-kind Cab Lift that won a Silver Innovation Award at the 2017 AgriTechnica, Europe’s largest farm machinery show. That feature, says Tommy Jones, Krone North America’s president and CEO, “allows an operator to elevate the cab automatically, a feature especially valuable when opening a field.”

Pressing an in-cab button gives you a hydraulic scissor lift of about 27 inches above its base platform. Separating the cab from the chopping assembly also helps reduce cab noise. It’s an optional feature on new Big X 680, 780 and 880 forage harvester models, for unobstructed front, side and rear visibility.
