Louis Dreyfus Commodities LLC has become the latest ethanol producer to purchase patent-pending Selective Milling Technology from ICM Inc ., based in Colwich.

Dreyfus will use the technology in both of its North American ethanol plants: Louis Dreyfus Commodities Grand Junction, located in Grand Junction, Iowa, and Elkhorn Valley Ethanol, located in Norfolk, Neb.

SMT is a value-added technology, developed by ICM researchers, that increases ethanol yield, reduces viscosity and increases oil recovery.

Selective Milling Technology is a value-added technology, developed by ICM researchers, that increases ethanol yield, reduces viscosity and increases oil recovery.

Yield enhancement potential
