The diesel fuel shortage continues in North Dakota. Suppliers are having to be brought in from distance terminals and sometimes truckers have to wait days at a terminal for their load.
North Dakota Gov. John Hoeven recently issued an executive order extending the waiver of service hours for commercial truck drivers providing gas stations with fuel until 12:01 a.m. CDT on Nov. 30. The measure extends an earlier executive order that expired Nov. 9.
In making the announcement allowing truckers to put in longer days on the road, Gov. Hoeven has also urged regional refineries to direct more diesel fuel to North Dakota distributors.
