There are some losses in harvest that can be avoided

Granular Ag has taken a look at the dollar side of harvest by quantifying the number of tickets (truck, scale and grain cart) and the bushels that each of the tickets represents. The value of each has been calculated and the potential loss from losing them- a common challenge especially for larger grain operations.

Granular Ag has done the calculations of total potential losses for a 2,000 and 5,000 acre farm (50 percent 200 bushel/acre corn at $3.50/bushel, 50 percent 60 bushe per acre soybeans at $10 a bushel.)

Different percentages of tickets are assumed missing but no matter how close the percentage is to zero, that's dollars potentially out of a grower's pockets at the end of the day.
