"The FFA is a national organization dedicated to preparing members for leadership and careers in the science, business and technology of agriculture. Ohio's 25,780 members in 308 chapters participate in local, state and national activities and award programs provide opportunities to apply knowledge and skills acquired through agriculture education.” says Melissa Bell, executive director of the Ohio FFA Foundation. "Bayer and LibertyLink continue to support our goals, and we thank them for their generous contribution.”

“Congratulations to the Ohio FFA for your efforts to encourage grower participation. We’d also like to honor their community. They're the reason why the Ohio FFA won the $5,735 donation,” says Malin Westfall, soybean marketing manager for Bayer.

Twenty-eight state FFA organizations participated in the challenge. The chapters promoted the online Real Yield Game to growers within their states. The more growers playing determined the donation values for their respective states.

Each state FFA organization encouraged participation while they competed against 28 states for $50,000. The Ohio FFA helped participation with promotional emails, banner ads, social media posts and handouts, in addition to using a kiosk at the Soy Excited event. This outreach enabled them to win the second largest donation.

The Real Yield Game is the first social instant win experience sponsored by LibertyLink. In the game, growers competed for instant prizes of LibertyLink seed and a grand prize one-year tractor lease with John Deere®. LibertyLink committed a donation to an FFA chapter for each game play.

To play, participants simulated spraying soybean fields with Liberty.
