Crop markets ease after recent gains

Export sales improved in latest week. (audio)

Corn, soybeans and wheat are a little lower near midday on Thursday as the markets pause after recent gains. Corn and soybeans remain higher for the week, while winter wheat is a little lower. Export sales of corn and soybeans were better than expected, while the wheat sales matched expectations. Forecasts call for significant rain in the Plains winter wheat areas beginning on Friday.
