Research by the University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture will be showcased during field days scheduled between April and September. Each focuses on a different aspect of the state’s agriculture, with days devoted to livestock, forages, riparian buffers, forestry, horticulture, blackberries, weeds, rice, wildlife, field crops, turfgrass and bio-energy.

Here’s a list of upcoming field days:

  • Tuesday, April 19 – Livestock & Forages Field Day, held at the Livestock & Forestry Research Station in Batesville.

  • Thursday, April 21 – Riparian Buffer Workshop, held at the Southeast Research & Extension Center in Monticello.

  • Thursday, April 28 – Beef and Forage Field Day, held at the Southeast Research & Extension Center in Monticello.

  • Thursday, April 28 – Forestry Field Day, held at the Livestock & Forestry Research Station in Batesville.

  • Saturday, May 7 – Riparian Buffer Workshop, held at the Watershed Research & Education Center in Fayetteville.

  • Thursday, June 16 – Horticulture Field Day, held at the Southwest Research & Extension Center in Hope.

  • Thursday, June 23 – Blackberry Workshop, held at 3 p.m. at the Fruit Research Station in Clarksville.

  • Thursday, June 30 – Plant Field Day, held at the Vegetable Research Station in Alma.

  • Tuesday, July 19 – Weeds Field Day, held at the Northeast Research & Extension Center in Keiser.

  • Wednesday, Aug. 3 – Turfgrass Field Day, held at the Agricultural Research Center in Fayetteville.

  • Thursday, Aug. 4 – Field Day, held at the Rice Research and Extension Center in Stuttgart.

  • Thursday, Aug. 18 – Field Crops Field Day, held at the Pine Tree Branch Station in Colt.

  • Thursday, Aug. 25 – Judd Hill Field Day, held in Trumann.

  • Thursday, Sept. 29 – Forestry/Wildlife Field Day, held at the Savoy Research Unit in Fayetteville.

  • Thursday, Oct. 6 – Bio-Energy Field Day, held at the Rohwer Research Station in Rohwer.

  • Tuesday, Oct. 11– Forestry Field Day, held at the Southwest Research & Extension Center in Hope.
