The Software & Information Association (SIIA) announced winners for the 69^th Jesse H. Neal Awards and awarded Around Farm Progress first place in the “Best Podcast” category. This prestigious award honors the brightest, most tenacious, and innovative journalists, content creators and designers for their editorial excellence in the field of business-to-business journalism.

Willie Vogt, Executive Director, Content and User Engagement for Farm Progress and host of the Around Farm Progress podcast was honored to accept the first-place award during the in-person award ceremony that took place on April 21, 2023 at the New York City Marriott Marquis. “When I started Around Farm Progress, the original idea was to highlight the work of our editors in the field, and that continues,” says Willie Vogt. “Today, the podcast has evolved to connect with industry leaders, startups and others shaping ag for the future. It’s been fun to produce, and I’m honored that the work has been recognized as a Neal Award winner.”

Notable mention goes to the Farm Future’s staff as Neal Award finalists for their special issue, “Cultivating Mental Health – Inside America’s Silent Struggle.” This issue sheds light on mental health challenges in Rural America, exposes why rural people are reluctant or unable to get help, offers solutions, testimonials and fosters more conversation on mental health. Farm Futures staff acknowledged for the finalist award include Mike Wilson, Editor and Content Director, Jaqueline Holland, Market Analyst, and Ben Potter, Senior Staff Writer.
