Max Armstrong examines a survey on the dampening of consumers’ excitement over electric vehicles. The reasons behind the falling sentiment: price and charging infrastructure.

Also, 50 percent of the nation’s corn crop is in the ground, according to the USDA planting progress report released Monday afternoon. Iowa and Illinois farmers say they are 75 percent complete.

When it comes to soybeans, the USDA planting progress report, 66% is complete in Illinois but it’s neighbor, Indiana only has a third complete.

And a freight train derailment in Missouri, caused an evacuation after asphalt was spilled.

Plus, don’t forget Mother’s Day is five days away.
