Max Armstrong looks at how lenders are expressing major concern over people falling behind on their automobile payments. Lenders say it's a problem because people purchased the vehicles at higher prices and high interest rates and now the vehicles aren't worth what they owe as the economy slows down.

Plus, a 500 mile bicycle ride from Sioux City to Davenport, Iowa kicks on in one month. It's the 50th anniversary of the "rolling party."

And in agribusiness, dairy exports are at the lowest level they have been in three years. Ben Buckner, chief grains and dairy analyst for AgResource Co., says it's not a good sign when dairy exports are hitting the high for the year in the spring. Exports account for 16 percent of the dairy sales. The rest of the market hinges on the dry weather in the next 12 months.

And in a newspaper article, "The Long Goodbye", reporters look at Alzheimer's disease. They talk with the family of Jack Hanna, who built the Columbus Zoo. He was diagnosed four years ago with the disease and moved to Montana. His family says he doesn't know who they are at this point in his illness.

Max Armstrong's Farm Progress America is a daily look at key issues in agriculture. It is produced and presented by Max Armstrong, veteran farm broadcaster and host of This Week in Agribusiness.
