Max Armstrong shares a scary situation for some air travelers this weekend. A United airplane had to make an unscheduled stop in Kansas City after the flight crew smelled fumes. The plane was traveling from St. Louis, Missouri to Denver, Colorado. The airplane was greeted with airport crash trucks as it landed.

Plus, the unabomber Ted Kazcyinski was found dead in his prison cell this weekend. He jumped two grades and went to Harvard at the age of 60. He created a reign of terror for many 30-40 years ago.

And in agribusiness, a survey of Iowa farmland showed some interesting facts. Two-thirds of the farmland in Iowa is owned by someone 65 or older. Half of the farmland is now owned by people who do not farm and half have never farmed.

And Max Armstrong talks about the recent Taylor Swift concerts.

Max Armstrong's Farm Progress America is a daily look at key issues in agriculture. It is produced and presented by Max Armstrong, veteran farm broadcaster and host of This Week in Agribusiness.
