Many folks are talking about the wind across the heartland today.

Drought actually diminished slightly in the U.S. in the last week, but about 40 percent of the heartland area is still in a drought, and 90 percent of the plains.

There's a new speaker of the House in Illinois.

A new bill in the Tennessee legislature would require a Dolly Parton statue on capital grounds.
