A lack of predictability and reliability is impacting the food chain. Mike Steenhoek says we will continue to see this, from shocks to the supply chain, like pandemics, cyber hacks, weather and more. The global supply chain is not operating in sync, so more inventory or more storage might need to be purchased. Steenhoek says suppliers don't want to be caught flat-footed again and will do just that to avoid the current problems in the future.
