Wheat markets are higher for the third day after a tour this week through spring wheat fields had participants predicting lower yields versus a year ago. However, the gains were unable to offset the market’s losses earlier in the week and wheat remained lower for the five-day period.

Soybeans bounded higher near midday to push the new-crop November higher for the week and above key moving averages. The gains came despite forecasts that lacked threatening weather for the crop in the Midwest.

Corn futures are a few cents higher, but remained lower for the week.
